Web- and video-conferencing solutions provider First Video Communications (FVC) will be providing teleportation communication solutions to the Middle East region out of its facility in Dubai Internet City. The technology was first used in the region by Dr. Omar Bin Sulaiman, CEO of Dubai Internet City at the press conference, when he spoke to the UAE press from Hanover, Germany over a live teleportation link. The link digitally transmits 3D images from Hanover to Dubai. It allows remotely-located presenters to see, hear and interact with the audience as if they are actually present in the room. Developed by global distance communication solutions provider Teleportec, the teleportation solution used at the press conference has been provided in the Middle East and North African region by FVC. “This is yet another example of the thriving and technologically vibrant ICT community here,” commented Dr. Omar Bin Sulaiman, CEO of Dubai Internet City. FVC regional director KS Parag mentioned that DIC is the first to showcase this technology in the Middle East. "Teleportec provides a premium addition to our solutions of Virtual Meeting capability and a model for future conferencing technologies to come” he added.
