US-based telecoms solutions vendor, ADC, has been handed a deal to supply a network performance monitoring system to MTC-Vodafone in Kuwait. The mobile operator will deploy ADC’s new generation Metrica Performance Manager to monitor the quality of service (QoS) delivered to its mobile subscribers in the country. ADC secured the contract via its global partner, Harris Corporation. The move will provide MTC with a consolidated view of key performance indicators, giving the service provider comprehensive visibility of network quality and utilisation. With this information, MTC will be able to run its networks more efficiently, maintaining service quality while dynamically deploying capacity to match potential growth in demand. It will also provide the tools needed to help detect both long-term and immediate problems and distinguish between service-affecting and non-service-affecting network-quality issues.
