Captaris, the fax software vendor has concluded its annual international conference held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Over 150 channel partners from 44 countries across the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia and New Zealand met in Dubai for the four-day conference and training sessions. The company which recently Teamplate, a Business Process Management (BPM) in late 2003, used this opportunity to train its channel partners on the new business and technical elements of the expanded product range. A key message at the conference was to highlight RightFax, it’s flagship product for enterprise fax and electronic document delivery. “The fax is not dead. Captaris is recognising its channel partners who through this region have shown 20 to 25% increased sales,” says Fadi Honein, regional manager, Captaris Middle East & North Africa (MENA). The company clarifies that the general perception of e-mail replacing fax machines isn’t valid. “We are seeing in the Middle East, that there is a very real requirement for the fax message, and smart organisations are finding ways to cut costs and increase the effectiveness of dealing with fax communications by integrating RightFax to their CRM, ERP and other back office applications,” adds Honein. During the conference, Captaris partners — Solutions Middle East and ITQAN were given sales awards for their performance in 2003. Its regional customers include ADNOC, ARAMCO, DEWA, Emirates Airlines, DIC and others.
