Networking vendor Linksys’ new VAR programme is up and running in the Middle East. Now a division of Cisco, Linksys’ Partner Connection Programme has taken a leaf out of its parent’s book when it comes to channel programmes. The Linksys programme will offer a tempting selection of phase one benefits to VARs that sign up including training, tools, discounts on selected product lines, marketing tools and special pricing for education and government users. Discounts will be available on select Linksys Small Business Class products purchased from an authorised distributor. David Kelly, director of sales EMEA at Linksys, says: “We are launching our Linksys Partner Connection Program so we can provide high quality services and benefits to VARs that are dedicated to selling and/or installing networking hardware into SOHO and small business environments. By offering a partner program, we have the ability to interact with resellers to better service their needs. Like our Cisco parent, we are dedicated to providing value-add for our resellers that are driving the market.” There is also the promise of more to come with phase two and three benefits scheduled for rollout during 2004. For those partners focused on SOHO and small business networking and prepared to drive sales from complementary products and services, the channel perks — and the power of its brand association with Cisco — makes Linksys an attractive vendor to work with.
