National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has enhanced its internet banking initiative to facilitate greater customer customisation. The overhauled Watani Online site allows users to not only personalise services such as balance information, but also add their favourite links to MyWatani Online and view their payment and transfer summary list. To make the upgrade apparent to jaded web users, the site has also received a new look in terms of design. “The most striking feature of this service is enabling customers to customise their view and access to their products and services,” says Adel Al-Majed, group general manager of consumer banking at NBK. “Customers can now personalise their balance information, transfer funds, bill payments, and self services as well as nickname their accounts, credit cards, loans, funds, and Watani Gifts,” he adds. NBK has already experienced great success with its online initiatives and Al-Majed says features such as greater personalisatio have helped the Kuwaiti bank recruit more than 80,000 customers for Watani Online and drive more than two million transactions through its internet banking services. “Our strategy is to position our online services in line with our customer needs. Our online strategy also includes providing convenience for our customers and as a result we are continuously offering innovative and new service on our online channels,” Al-Majed adds.
