Wireless performance engineering solutions provider, Actix, has landed a deal supply a network optimisation system to MTC-Vodafone in Bahrain. Future Communications Company International (FCCI), a value added reseller of Nokia’s network solutions in Kuwait and Bahrain, selected the vendor’s GPRS and GSM system to streamline the delivery, implementation and provision of operational support services for MTC-Vodafone’s network. FCCI currently uses the solution for maintenance and optimisation of MTC-Vodafone’s networks in Kuwait. The solution enables operators to analyse raw wireless network data from a mix of network technologies, systems and data collection solutions in detail. This gives them a picture of vital wireless functions and the quality of service delivery, and enables engineers to ‘drill down’ to the root cause of any deficiencies. The system also provides advanced mapping, charting and reporting features as well as powerful data analysis for all aspects of performance engineering. “As we already use Actix’ software in our activities supporting MTC-Vodafone Kuwait, it was clear that we could get significant benefit for expanding its usage into supporting both the initial roll-out phase and subsequent maintenance and optimisation phases in Bahrain,” says Najeeb Mohammad Al-Awadhi, general manager, FCCI.
