World’s tallest hotel to be built in Dubai

Construction on the world’s tallest hotel is scheduled to begin on February 1, 2004 in Dubai.

Construction on the world’s tallest hotel is scheduled to begin on February 1, 2004 in Dubai. According to reports, the 333-metre Abbco Rotana Hotel will overtake the reigning tallest operating hotel in the world and Dubai landmark the Burj Al Arab. The 72-storey hotel will feature 684 guest rooms. Another contender for the tallest hotel in the world tag is North Korea’s Ryugyong Hotel in Pyongyang which will be 330 metres tall once completed.
