Small businesses and personal computer users should be on the look out for a fast spreading virus called Bagle. The virus has quickly spread after being launched at the weekend and has been reported in more than 130 countries. The basic nature of the virus means that most corporations will filter out the virus but home users and small businesses remain vulnerable. The virus reads "Hi" with "test : )" in the subject line. If any users are sent this e-mail they are strongly advised to delete it. Once clicked the virus sends itself to the people in the recipient's e-mail address book. More damagingly the virus attempts to install a Trojan horse that could allow a hacker to gain remote access to an infected computer. To disguise this attack the virus simultaneously launches the Windows calculator. If someone suspects they may have been infected with Bagle, we recommend doing a virus scan and updating security software.
