The SDM-HS73P has a 17-inch viewable image size, features new updates in brightness technology and a black bezel to match home décor. This display is the first to integrate Sony’s X-BRITE panel technology, which was originally introduced on VAIO notebook PCs. The technology enhances contrast, viewing angles, brightness performance and boosts overall image clarity. “With X-BRITE and ErgoBright technologies combined into one panel, there is a huge boost in screen contrast and clarity,” said Jim Neal, general manager for display product marketing in Sony Electronics’ IT Products Division. “Specs don’t come close to signaling the improvement from this technology.” The monitor sports a high brightness of 400cd/m2 that is designed to make photos richer and text crisp and clear, the display provides quality performance whether placed near a window or in a lightless room. With ErgoBright technology, the SDM-HS73P display can be easily adjusted with the touch of a button with no loss of contrast or colour fidelity. The HS73P Is available from February and will be priced at about $610. The Sony SDM-S204 is a high resolution LCD monitor with a super-thin black bezel design that has been built to cater for the needs of demanding engineering and desktop publishing applications. The 20” (20” viewable image size) LCD model features a 1600 x 1200 resolution that makes images vivid and text clear on a screen that has ample space for working on more than one program at the same time. With capacity for multiple digital and analog connections, users can easily switch from one computer to another enhancing productivity while taking up less desktop space. “The SDM-S204 is packed with features that assist, rather than distract from, getting the job done,” said Neal. “With automatic image adjustments and time and space saving options, precision and speed come easily.”
