Samsung, the world’s largest computer display manufacturer, has just concluded a regional partner event that pulled together distributors from 31 countries across MEA. During the summit, B. W. Lee, President and CEO, Samsung MEAHQ, outlined the company’s ambition to be number one in all its product categories and launch a powerful suite of new products in 2004. “The key focus of the summit was to share Samsung’s mission statement for 2004, company vision for 2004, key objectives, strategy and core activity plans,’ said Lee. “Another important factor in conducting this annual summit was to bring our entire team, both internal and external, together in order to share best practices and success stories,” he added.” “During 2003 each of our regions and product departments performed exceptionally well and made significant contributions to our excellent overall company results. This forum also gave us the opportunity to recognise those individual and team contributions,” concluded Lee. With a strong product line-up in hot technology areas such as camera phones, Samsung is well placed to boost its MEA market share in 2004. This event ensures its distributors are up to speed on the vendor’s strategic intent and fired up for the year ahead.
