Construction work on Mina Towers, a new condominium project on Amwaj Islands in Muharraq, Bahrain, will start in February. The first phase of the project, which includes the construction of at least two of the seven planned towers, is expected to finish in August. The towers in the project will be seven or eight storeys tall and comprise of 211 apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms. The developers are touting the development as a first of its kind for Bahrain. “We’ve never had luxury-type condominiums for sale on the sea before,” said Neil D’Silva, managing director of Norwich Property Consultants. “So far we have over 35 reservations confirmed and are waiting to finalise the dimension and location of the apartments. The first phase will include at least two towers but perhaps more, depending on demand,” he added. The complex will include a five-star spa, a large outdoor swimming pool, a floating restaurant, fast food restaurants, banks, shopping areas, basement parking and a private beach. The infrastructure work on the island should be completed in the third quarter of this year.
