Belhoul Group is looking to consolidate the financial applications of its thirteen companies with the implementation of Microsoft Great Plains. The Dubai-based company selected the Microsoft Business Solutions’ enterprise resource planning (ERP) package after an in depth evaluation process, which it carried out in conjunction with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). “We strive to be leaders in every field we enter, and our approach to our technology solutions is no different,” says Khalfan Belhoul, IT director of Belhoul Group “We required a solution that would allow us to rationalise financials and data across the organisation and streamline our processes,” he adds. The project is being carried out by Al Futtaim Computer Software Products Company (AFCOMP) and will see the centralisation of Belhoul’s financial data and medical procurement across both its healthcare centres and other divisions. When live, the Great Plains enterprise resource planning (ERP) application is slated to deliver cost savings of approximately 35% for the group, in addition to improving security and management of its technology assets and data. Furthermore, Belhol Group believes the time and money saved by deploying Great Plains will facilitate greater investment in customer services, thus enhancing users’ interaction with the company. “Rationalising costs and processes will allow us to focus our resources on the most important aspect of our businesses — serving our customers,” Belhoul confirms.
