Aramex joins new global distribution alliance

Jordan based carrier Aramex has announced the formation of a new global distribution alliance (GDA) of which it will play an active leadership role.

Jordan based carrier Aramex has announced the formation of a new global distribution alliance (GDA) of which it will play an active leadership role. The new partnership of several leading worldwide transportation providers will offer customers comprehensive global coverage combined with strong local market expertise, according to the company. The formation of the GDA is to establish a competitive and leading transportation solutions provider that will be responsive to all its customers transportation needs. In total it consists of 36 express partners, 15 express delivery agents, and will serve over 240 countries worldwide. Aramex assumes a key role in the alliance, with Fadi Ghandour, Aramex’s president and CEO, as chairman of the GDA Board. Among the partners Aramex is also the largest producer of outbound shipments, covering more countries than any of the other partners in the network. “The alliance will service Aramex customers worldwide through capable partners who will extend the global reach of Aramex’s services at the best quality standards and the best prices. The formation of this new alliance will definitely provide Aramex, the network members and the customers with the most efficient, cost effective products and services in the transportation industry,” says a spokesperson for the company.
