Al Alamiah Computer Systems has become the first Dell Authorised Service Provider (DASP) in Kuwait. As a result, the company is now licensed to provide Dell customer service centres within the country and deliver enhanced support services for its customer, such as helpdesk and licensed mobile engineers capable for on-site technical support. Furthermore, the certification also means Al Alamiah can supply spare parts for repairing Dell equipment and offer same day, or next day, maintenance services. “Becoming Dell DASP certified is an indication of the highly professional performance Al Alamiah solutions have achieved. It clearly confirms our commitment and our capabilities to provide outstanding support services,” says Ibraheem Mohammed, general manager of Al Alamiah Computer Systems Kuwait. “This further enhances our company's prestigious position in the IT field in Kuwait,” he adds. Al Alamiah Kuwait’s DASP certification was awarded after it met Dell’s specific standards, which are checked through a series of audits to its various support and services divisions. The same standards are insisted upon throughout the world, regardless of whether the operator works in a developed or emerging market. “In order to achieve DASP status, Al Alamiah had to pass a stringent audit of its service and support organisation, testing its ability to deliver consistent, high quality support to Dell customers,” confirms Andy Scopes, services manager for Dell’s Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) distribution business. “DASP accreditation reflects Al Alamiah’s commitment to improving the support offered to its Dell customers and the significant amount of hard work and investment that has been made to meet the standards necessary for accreditation,” he adds. According to Al Alamiah, its freshly accredited Kuwait operation and Saudi sister company, which became a DASP last year, are the only two such centres in the Middle East. The company believes this position will not only allow it to boost its business and improve service levels, but also become more attractive to other international vendors looking for partners in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and beyond. “On the one hand, this [the DASP certification] confirms our company’s great commitment to customer services,” says Abdulaziz Al Gharabally, marketing & sales director of Al Alamiah Group. “And on the other it confirms our continued successful pursuit of enhancing our relationship with giant international companies, who, in turn, have found Al Alamiah to be the ideal partner.”
