Ibis has been awarded a series of orders from ESPN worth US$ 441,000 for its automation and workflow solutions.

The first of these is for a SprinTx Newsroom automation system to be installed at the ESPN headquarters in Bristol Connecticut, USA as part of a pilot project. The SprinTx system comprises video server management applications, ingest and acquisition tools, plus Ibis playout applications running with a MOS gateway.

The second order, from the ESPN Desportes Channel, is for a number of Ibis process management tools that will be deployed in a multiple video server environment. The applications will intuitively track the acquisition of sports material and the progression of video clips throughout the editing and workflow process. Key elements of the workflow management process chosen by ESPN are the Ibis ServerBase and ServerLoad that are part of the company's LiveTx process automation and centralisation.
