Jacky’s Electronics is to distribute BenQ’s full range of digital projectors across the UAE, including the seven new models introduced this summer. BenQ said the deal will help it continue its expansion in the market.

Jacky’s will operate as a preferred partner for BenQ, giving it improved pricing and access to models. Jacky’s stocks products on a consignment basis, allowing it to keep stock at its central distribution hub and display models in its six showrooms in the UAE.

By making its products more visible in the market, BenQ is hoping to further improve its sales of projectors, which it is positioning as cheaper alternatives to plasma displays and wide-screen televisions for movie fans.

“By making projectors more widely available to consumers in the UAE, through our new relationship with Jacky’s Electronics and a host of pricing and marketing promotions, we expect that they will soon be a feature in the homes of many people who enjoy watching movies on a big screen,” said Zakaraya Al Ashek, account manager BenQ Middle East. “Projector sales represent a significant proportion of BenQ’s overall revenue for the Middle East and by entering this deal with Jacky’s Electronics we have been able to further improve our contact with customers,” he added.
