LG is extending its PC and notebook line-up, with new products being unveiled at Gitex, along with two new mobile phones and a new range of monitors.

“The new additions to the PC and notebook range will take us closer to reaching our aim of owning 20% regional market share by the end of next year,” said P C Choi, president, LG Electronics Gulf FZE.

May’s launch of PCs and notebooks in the Middle East represented the first time the Korean country had offered such products outside its home market and gave it a complete IT product offering. “The first two shipments sold within days,” Choi said. “With new products being added to the lineup, LG’s standing in these segments will be greatly enhanced.”

LG will also launch two new mobile phones at the show, the LG 7100 and LG 5400, as well as multi-drive and portable optical storage devices and five new monitors in its Flatron range.
