Network Information Technology is to install a LAN and WAN at Al Furat Petroleum Company’s new head office in Damacus, Syria. The deal, which also covers training, comes on the back of two large projects undertaken for the UN in Afghanistan.

In the UN project, NIT has undertaken a turnkey installation that includes supply and the implementation of LAN and WAN, telephone system, PABX with accessories, and training on these equipment in Kabul and five other regions in Afghanistan. The company has also performed an extensive security project for the UN, including the supply and installation of surveillance equipment, such as closed circuit TV and biometric access control systems.

“Winning these major projects gives us tremendous confidence and places us at par with other major IT solution providers. This empowers us to undertake projects with a global perspective while at the same time reaffirms our commitment to regional clients in providing them state of the art equipment and services,” says Bassel Al Fakir, CEO, NIT.
