Country pavilions dominate Gitex Dubai

There will country pavilions from Canada, China, Egypt, Finland, France, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Jordan, Korea, Lebanon, Pakistan, Palestine, Spain, Taiwan and the UK at the show.

Gitex Dubai will house 18 country pavilions when it opens its doors on October 19th. There will be sizeable presence from India, Taiwan, the UK, Egypt and Pakistan at the show.

“Gitex 2003 will feature strong representation from Canada, China, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Jordan, Korea, Lebanon, Northern Ireland, Pakistan, Palestine, Spain, Taiwan and the UK, justifying the event’s status as the leading IT show in the region,” comments DWTC director general, Mubarak bin Fahad.

Country pavilions will take up a massive part of the show, accounting for 4,264 square metres of floor space.

Around 660 exhibitors from 37 countries attended the 2002 show, representing 1,520 companies, filling the sprawling complex to capacity.

Telecoms, computing hardware and software, networking kit and internet technologies are all fields that are comprehensively featured. Gitex is the only notable event aimed specifically at industry professionals in the Gulf region.
