Local business-to-business (B2B) marketplace, Tejari, is using Gitex to unveil a new portal, called myTejari. The solution enables both buyers and suppliers to create their own personalised marketplaces and receive up-to-the-minute information via SMS or e-mail. This, in conjunction with the portal's single sign-on technology, will enable users to access the information and services that are most relevant to their business, says Tejari.

Visitors to Tejari's stand will also be able to get a first-hand perspective on the Tejari Project Collaboration tool, which enables organisations to collaborate in real time on jointly authored documents, drawings and building plans, via the electronic marketplace.

Furthermore, they will be able to check out the B2B site's integration kit - a modular, scalable and cost-effective tool that automates the auction creation process, imports quotations directly from Tejari and acts as an order management system, enabling supplier members to receive sales orders.

"Gitex provides an unmatched opportunity for Tejari to showcase the entirely new 'look and feel' of the marketplace as a Middle East brand. Our presence underscores our commitment to the benefits that online procurement delivers to the Arab business community," says Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, chief executive officer of Tejari.
