Extreme Networks is planning to demonstrate the high availability, manageability and security of its networking solutions at Gitex 2003.

The vendor is showcasing its Unified Access Architecture and illustrating the flexibility and cost sensitivity of its Business Optimised Infrastructure (BOI).

Extreme products on display will include its Summit 200 Access Switches, which the vendor claims deliver advanced switching functionalities to the network edge at a cost comparative to basic Layer 2 edge switches. Furthermore, the vendor will have a working demo of its Summit 300 access switch and Altitude 300 wireless access point to illustrate that scalability, security, high availability and manageability can still be attained by large enterprises implementing wireless products in their networks.

According to Extreme, its wireless solutions can easily scale in a controlled manner and at a cost sensitive price, while security is maintained at both the access point and radio medium level.
