Trend Micro will be demonstrating its wide range of security solutions, including its ant virus and anti-spam offerings, as it looks to grow its customer base throughout the Middle East.

At the same time, the vendor will be talking up its Enterprise Protection strategy, which provides users with a comprehensive approach to managing the impact of mixed-threats.

"Our primary focus for the event will be demonstrating our best-of-breed solutions for the antivirus and content security market. We will also have a strong focus this year on our anti-spam solutions, as spam is becoming a more critical issue, especially locally due to bandwidth and connection costs," says Justin Doo, managing director, Trend Micro Middle East, Africa & Benelux countries.

In addition to demonstrating its products, the security vendor will be looking to enhance its relationships with both its partners and resellers. Although unwilling to name names, Doo suggests that Trend will also sign a new distribution partner during the five-day show.

"At Gitex we will be looking for wider exposure to our customer base, to enhance relationships with existing alliance partners and introduce a new distribution partner," he says. "Gitex is the premier IT exhibition for the region and Trend Micro has supported it since 2000. It has always been a strong platform for meeting our channel partners and customers," he adds.
