Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) is helping Gitex attendees to navigate the nine halls with its Mobile Exhibition Guide. The free mobile application contains a full floor plan, exhibitor list, an updated seminar schedule, prayer times and a currency converter.

"Gitex is a massive exhibition... This service is designed to simplify navigating the event for trade visitors," says DWTC general manager exhibitions, leasing & property, Abdulla Qassem.

Visitors will be able to synchronise the application through multiple communication modes to receive the latest updates. DWTC administrative personnel will regularly update and maintain the exhibition information.

DWTC is also urging interested IT professionals to pre-register at www.gitex.com, in an effort to reduce queues. All those that pre-register online use the fast-track desks in the foyer. "Our computerised pre-registration process is designed to ease overcrowding at the registration desks during the show," says Qassem.
