Dubai Internet City’s (DIC) community pavilion will dominate Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Maktoum Hall. DIC is predicting that approximately 40 companies will exhibit under its banner during the five day show.

DIC’s community pavilion housed just ten companies last year.

“We are pleased that DIC’s presence has grown incrementally at this year’s Gitex,” comments DWTC director general, Mubarak bin Fahad.

“Gitex 2003 is poised to break all previous records in terms of number of exhibitors, gross floor space, participating countries and overall reach. DIC has been one of our prominent exhibitors in recent years and its increased presence at this year’s show is symbolic of the enhanced stature of the event,” he adds.

DIC Community Zone will consist of a cross section of information and communication technology (ICT) companies ranging from software development, business services, web-based & e-commerce, consultancy, education and training, sales and marketing to back office operations.

“[DIC]’s Community Zone at this year’s GITEX will showcase 40 of our partners," comments Dr. Omar Bin Sulaiman, CEO of DIC.

“This is the biggest participation by any organisation at the event. By being part of the Community Zone, DIC companies will have several opportunities to network and build business alliances with high-profile regional and international companies. The DIC cluster has grown tremendously since last Gitex to become a community of more than 550 companies that includes many of the world's leading ICT companies,” he adds.
