Almasa Distribution is to hold a break-out Channel Emporium during this year's Gitex exhibition. The Channel Emporium, which is being held at the Emirates Towers Hotel, will allow Almasa to meet its reseller and vendor partners in a relaxed environment away from the show.

The distributor is providing a free limousine service to ferry resellers to the Emporium from the Gitex site. Over a dozen Almasa managers and directors will be on hand, with the aim of speaking to all of the Middle East channel partners.

Parvez Ahmed, sales & marketing director of Almasa explained that the change in strategy was due to the company's increased presence across the region. "Since we opened our offices through the region in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait and Lebanon we have built stronger ties with our resellers. Where previously this exhibition was a valuable opportunity to meet our resellers, we are now located in the same cities as most of our resellers so this meet is now part of an ongoing dialogue with established partners for them to meet Almasa Distribution's directors and work on ideas to grow business," he said.

Along with the Channel Emporium, Almasa will also be offering enhanced services for resellers who are exhibiting at Gitex Channel Shopper. The distributor is offering a number of promotional bundles for the show, and will also provide selected resellers with enhanced credit lines and stock facilities.

"At Almasa Distribution we recognise that our resellers have a higher turnover of fast moving products during GITEX and to support this we offer increased facilities to ensure that our partners never reach a stock-out situation. This keeps our resellers partner's cash flow keen and at the same time increases their sales and profits," Ahmed said.
