HP Services' customers in the Middle East can have a whole new level of confidence in the company following its appointment as a Cisco Gold Channel Partners. HP Services was already a Cisco partner, but the new qualification recognises the highest standards of expertise with Cisco technology.

"We congratulate HP Services on achieving Gold Channel Partner status," said Andy Elder, regional director for Channels and Marketing at Cisco Systems Middle East and North Africa. "Its team has completed some of the region's most innovative IP networking projects and today's announcement is a testimony to HP's ability to deliver quality service and consultancy, time after time."

Gold level certification is only given to partners that have the highest standards of network deployment and support capabilities. HP Services is already an Advanced Technology Provider for Cisco, a programme for partners that have the capabilities to bring new technologies to market, but Gold status will open up a number of additional benefits to HP Services including online technical, marketing and sales resources and closer contact with Cisco for support and product information.

"HP works closely with Cisco on many projects throughout the Middle East," said Alaa Al Shimy, Network Solutions Group Manager, HP Services Middle East. "Gold Channel Partner status ensures that the HP Middle East team adheres to the most rigorous standards in designing, implementing and supporting Cisco networking solutions. Allied to our position as an Advanced Technology Provider it means that HP has unsurpassed capabilities on Cisco technology in this region."
