Fujitsu-Siemens Computers (FSC) has launched a new range of high performance notebooks, known as the AMILO, that boast the full suite of Centrino features.

Weighing in at 2.6kg, the AMILO series of notebooks battery life extends up to five hours and the notebooks also boast impressive specifications, with the M 7400 model accommodating up to 2058MB of RAM. FSC claims it has designed its AMILO D 1840 model with an "at the movies" feel and it features a 15" wide screen.

"The new generation of AMILO notebooks are stylistic machines that have brought high-end multimedia functions to the consumer segment. They have been conceptualised in response to the sophisticated demands of today's technology-savvy laptop user, with special attention to the entertainment factor and pricing," said Paul Gamboa, sales manager, consumer Gulf region, Fujitsu Siemens Computers.

Gamboa added: "The Middle East, with its large population of young computer lovers, has a tremendous demand for entertainment-oriented laptops. Young professionals are increasingly looking at laptops that deliver not just robust performance for business purposes, but also for personal entertainment. The new models of AMILO meet these requirements and are designed to be used anywhere in the world, while travelling. We are definitely targeting young professionals and we are positive these models will generate tremendous excitement in the Middle East."
