CompuMe, the regional IT retailer has announced that it will focus on two key areas by setting up independent divisions for retail and corporate business solutions as part of its new business strategy. This move, the company says has been necessitated by the growth of CompuMe in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

"We have recently signed many major deals and one of them was a leasing contract for D&IT equipment, the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia. This has resulted in the setting up of the CompuMe Business. CompuMe Business Division is an IT turnkey solutions enabler for small and medium size businesses as well as major corporations. Our focus is to enable companies to become more efficient and effective in their business by the use of information technology products," said Dikran Tchablakian, CEO, CompuMe.

The CompuMe business model combines comprehensive retail and business solutions for personal users, small and medium business enterprises as well as major corporations. It currently has five mega stores and two Express stores in the Middle East located in Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar and Cairo.

"The growing IT market in the Middle East has sparked a necessity for far-sighted solutions providers, such as CompuMe, to launch two separate divisions to cater to the consumer and commercial space," said Amr Hassan, general manager of the Imaging and Printing Group, HP Middle East.

The services provided by the CompuMe business division include consulting, design, implementation, management and support for structured cabling, telecom, networking, computer hardware solutions, audio video solutions, software solutions based on Microsoft products' software upgrades and software migration, professional solutions and office automation.

"IT Solutions providers in the region need to react to changing business needs. In the commercial arena, CompuMe Business, our partner will focus on offering business solutions that reduce operational costs and enhance flexibility and adaptability," said Christoph Schell, general manager of HP Middle East Personal Systems Group.
