ENOC is to undertake an environment report on facilities at Dubai International Airport. The report will involve collating extensive data about airport operations and analysing the information.

Under the project, ENOC’s health & safety compliance department will work closely with Dubai’s Department of Civil Aviation’s (DCA) environment team working. The appointment and agreement was signed by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed al Maktoum, president of the DCA & Chairman of the Emirates Group, and Hussain Sultan, group chief executive & board member at ENOC.

“The Department of Civil Aviation, Dubai has always been committed to providing high standard of services and facilities. Continuing in its efforts to provide nothing but the best and at the same time contribute to the environment, the Department of Civil Aviation has introduced a number of special environment awareness procedures at Dubai International Airport. This agreement with ENOC will us gather information and help us highlight areas that can be improved in terms of environmental impact. With these measures it is our aim to build a better tomorrow and contribute towards saving the environment,” says HH Sheikh Ahmed.

“We readily accepted the DCA’s invitation to be involved with this initiative and appreciate the confidence the Department has placed in ENOC as a partner,” adds Sultan. “The environment and matters relating to sustainable development and environmental protection have been a key focus of our business for some time now. This is not only because we are a national developer, but also because ENOC believes in the concept of long-term growth, coupled with sustainable development and continual environmental improvement. This commitment is clearly embodied in the ENOC Environment, Health and Safety Policy. “

"This agreement reinforces not only our commitment to the environment, but also our partnership with the DCA,” he adds.
