Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (DAFZA) is taking part in Gitex for the fourth year running next week. The focus of the organisation's participation will be building brand awareness of Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), Dubai's proposed technology park. However, it is also looking to uncover potential business opportunities and local/regional investors.

"Gitex is a great opportunity for Dubai Silicon Oasis to strengthen ties with industry players who have a strategic focus on the future of wireless technology," says HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed al Maktoum, President, Dubai Department of Civil Aviation and Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority.

"It will help create awareness and knowledge that will be beneficial to both DSO and the regional IT industry," he adds.

Dubai Silicon Oasis's proposed facilities, spread over a six million square metre capacity, will be visible for the first time via a land-use model displayed at the organisation's stand in hall seven.
