E-Pos, maker of retail technology products, is concentrating on its homegrown line of retail hardware products of the same name at Gitex 2003.

E-Pos is a pioneer in the field of retail technology products operating in Middle East and South East Asian markets.

The story begins five years ago when the core focus was to meet the burgeoning market share of the mid level segment.

Since then E-Pos has built a substantial market share in retail technology products with an average growth of ten to fifteen percent per year.

The company also offers hardware solutions to banks, government organisations, filling stations and the hospitality and recreation industries.

E-Pos has a well established network of dealers in the Middle East, East Africa and India, while expansion plans for 2003-2004 include movement into the merging retail technology markets of Africa and Russia.

Being the only dedicated regional distribution company for retail technology products, E-Pos has always been aggressive in terms of marketing and promotions.

Advertisements are regularly inserted in the local press and trade journals.

Product brochures, leaflets and promotion schemes are distributed through mail, fax and e-mail, thus offering continuous updates about the E-Pos product range to its business partners.

"E-Pos participation in international trade exhibitions and promotions offers more insight to the dealers and corporate end users about retail technology," says a spokesperson.

Point-of-sale products from E-Pos include touch screen systems, bar code scanners and printers, cash drawers, magnetic bar code swipe readers, and kiosk terminals.

For the banking and security sector E-Pos offers everything from chequebook and passport printers to counterfeit detection units. As well as the retail business, E-Pos' target clients include governments, hospitals, shopping malls and banks.
