No fewer than three new graphics cards geared towards hardcore gamers are up and running at this year's First International Computer(FIC) stand. Complemented by a multitude of new mainboards, the graphics cards herald a new wave of PC components from FIC. Boasting a range of memory capabilities and support for emerging graphics technologies, the cards are designed to keep pace with the next generation of power-hungry games.

First up is the A96P, based on the ATI Radeon 9600 Pro Visual Processing Unit (VPU) and featuring 128MB of on-board DDR video memory. Maximum 3D resolution is 2048 x 1536 and the A96P can drive multiple screens simultaneously. The new graphics card offers a 128-bit memory interface and support for AGP4x/8x and DirectX 9.0.

Next on show is the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, the fastest and most visually advanced 3D performer to take the field. A full 256-bit DDR memory interface and 8-pixel pipeline architecture are included to delight even the most demanding game players.

Last, but far from least, is the ATI Radeon 9200 series, built for high-end performance but positioned with a reasonable price tag. The unit offers 128 MB of DDR video memory and maximum 3D resolution of 2048 x 1536. The A92V also includes support for AGP 4x/8x, DirectX 8.1 and Open GL.

"FIC is a technology rich company," argues Hassan Ashi, Managing Director for C&C (FIC Middle East), upon analysing the competition. "We're proud to have the best of technology products at an affordable price."

"We are committed to the Middle East market and ensure our full support to this region with the latest in technology products," adds Ashi. "Gitex is the largest exhibition in this region and we believe it's the right time for us to launch these new products and showcase them for our channel partners."
