DXB wins best airport in the world award

Dubai International has been the named the world’s leading airport for the second year in a row, and the best in the region for the sixth successive year, at the 10th World Travel Awards.

Dubai International Airport has been the named the world’s leading airport for the second year in a row, and the best in the region for the sixth successive year, at the 10th World Travel Awards, part of the World Travel Market Exhibition.

The prestigious World Travel Awards are awarded based on votes cast by travel agents. Nominees are based upon the previous year’s voting, with travel agents in over 200 countries around the world having a say.

“Our vision is to have a world class airport which will sustain Dubai’s growth as the aviation hub of the Middle East in the years to come. The World Travel Award reiterates the challenges that we have to meet by maintaining and ensuring delivery of the highest standards of service at all time. Travellers’ comfort and satisfaction is always a central commitment of the Department of Civil Aviation,” comments HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of Dubai’s Department of Civil Aviation, and chairman of the Emirates Group.
