Acer is looking to accelerate its position in the mobile computing market with the launch of the Acer Ferrari 3000, a rich red notebook, aimed at business users who want a combination of good technology and sleek design. The notebook also celebrates Acer's appointment as the official supplier of notebooks, PCs and monitors to the Ferrari team.

Visitors to Acer's stand can test drive the new notebook model as well as get a closer look at the actual car from the Formula One fleet, which has been transported to Dubai for the exhibition.

"Cutting-edge innovation and technology have always characterised the worlds of Formula One and information technology," says Philip Ashkar, director of sales and marketing, Acer Computer ME. "The new relationship with Scuderia Ferrari is contributing to a boost in the visibility of the Acer brand and is strengthening our position as a leader in the IT market. The benefits of this relationship will be realised at Gitex. Having a car like this on our stand is bound to attract visitors."
