SurfControl has signed a new partnership agreement with Online Distribution to bring its range of content security products to the Middle East. SurfControl produces a number of web and email filtering products, which it now aims to provide to corporate customers across the GCC region.

SurfControl offers a multi-layered filtering approach that covers email, web and instant messaging and P2P applications. By monitoring all paths into and out of a corporate network, SurfControl is designed to prevent security threats, misuse of bandwidth, and accessing of illegal or inappropriate content by end users.

"Today, corporate customers around the world rely on SurfControl's solutions to protect their information and infrastructure, comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and improve employee productivity," says Keith Rich, managing director, OnLine.

"It's taken SurfControl just four years to become the global market leader in web and e-mail filtering and OnLine Distribution is proud to be a part of this endeavour," adds Rich.

OnLine will use its channel network to promote SurfControl products to customers across the Middle East. The distributor will provide logistical support as well as sales and marketing resources, and help partners develop the necessary skill sets to deploy the solutions.

"SurfControl delivers on its promise to help companies stop unwanted content in the workplace by continuous innovation, invention and expansion. It is the only company in the security market offering a total content security solution that combines web, e-mail (including anti-spam) and instant message filters with the industry's largest, most accurate and relevant content database and adaptive reasoning tools to automate content recognition," comments Simon Moxham, sales manager for SurfControl, Middle East and North Africa.
