Sophos AV says "check patches"

Sophos antivirus is using Gitex 2003 to raise awareness of computer viruses and educate users about computer security issues.

Sophos antivirus is using Gitex to raise awareness of computer viruses. The company's latest infection reports show that many companies around the world are still failing to take basic precautions needed to prevent virus.

"The fact that.... Sobig-F, Blaster, Mimail and Nachi are still in the top ten [most active viruses], despite extensive media coverage, is worrying," says Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant at Sophos Anti-Virus. "It means some people are still either ignoring calls to patch or are still oblivious to the threat."
