Computer Associates (ca) Middle East is celebrating a deal with the Council of Ministers (PCM) in Lebanon. The aim of the network management project is to facilitate the 'exchange of information' between PCM and other Lebanese government ministries and, in the future, with the Lebanese public.

"This enterprise high technology solution is the vertebral column of the information technology infrastructure and data center at PCM," enthused Claude Masaad, general manager of technical affairs at the general directorate of PCM.

The solution includes CA's Unicenter systems management product, BrightStor for enterprise backup and recovery, and eTrust intrusion detection and antivirus software.

"The solution is dedicated to serving the PCM and government data centre. This technology solution is a clear tangible symbol of CA-ME's commitment, as a total solutions provider, to the Lebanese and regional public and private sectors," said Hayssam El-Masri, operations director, CA-ME.
