AsusTek Computer is promoting its Asus Wi-Fi@HOME platform for wireless home networking at today's Gitex.

Asus Wi-Fi@HOME includes three elements: an Asus motherboard supporting the exclusive Wi-Fi slot; the ASUS WiFi-b WLAN card; and Asus software access point.

WiFi@Home is intended to make establishing a home network easier than ever before, doing away with messy cables and requiring little knowledge of networking to install.

The platform is specifically designed for the home. WiFi@Home aims to enable reliable wireless data transfer through the 802.11b/g standards with easy internet access, simple setup and a price point favourable to home users.
