Retail systems specialist, Landsteinar, is demonstrating its 'One Solution' package at Gitex this year. The company claims the product, which is based on the Navision applications from Microsoft Business Solutions, manages all aspects of retail operations, including point of sale, back office and customer management.

The company opened its regional headquarters in Dubai in September this year and is currently working with retailers like Spinneys supermarkets, Bahrain Duty Free and Beirut Duty Free. Landsteinar executives say more deals will be announced shortly.

"The Middle East's retail sector contains a number of dynamic players looking to deploy technology and we've been delighted by the amount of interest shown in our solutions since we opened for business in September," said Ole Milan, managing director, Landsteinar GCC.

Retail business consultants are present on Landsteinar's stand to offer specialist advice and discuss the specific needs of interested organisations. Landsteinar's solutions cover all aspects from the point-of-sale, through to back-office billing and shipping operations.

On-stand consultants will help attendees analyse how these solutions can support their businesses. Landsteinar builds its solutions on the Navision suite of business management applications, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2002.
