Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (DAFZA) is looking to attract global investors to its facilities at this year's show. DAFZA is also sharing its stand with Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), which is looking to build awareness about its planned technology park.

DAFZA is targeting foreign investors from Europe, Far East, South Africa and the US throughout Gitex and is placing its emphasis on quality rather than quantity. The zone is also marketing its close proximity to Dubai Airport as a key selling point for potential customers.

Furthermore, DAFZA is highlighting its services and on site facilities, which include digital and satellite communications, cargo handling, storage and distribution links, as well as residency and administration help.

"If you are looking for a stronghold in the Middle East for your business, rest assured, we at Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority look forward to providing you with the best opportunities to ensure your success," says Dr. Mohammed Al-Zarouni, director general of DAFZA.

DSO, meanwhile, is looking to strengthen its ties with regional industry players and also find local investors for its park. Interested parties can see a land-use model of the proposed six million square metre facility at the organisation's stand in hall 7.

"Gitex is a great opportunity to strengthen ties with industry players who have a strategic focus on the future of wireless technology," says HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president, Dubai Department of Civil Aviation & Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority.
