Talafone, the Canadian internet telephony solutions provider, has launched its latest range of software and hardware products for voice over IP (VoIP) and mass communication via SMS.

The vendor has upgraded its PC2FONE dialling software, which allows users to make calls between PCs, across the public switched telephony network (PSTN) or to mobile phones. At Gitex, the solution is being offered along with complementary hardware which will also allow clients to receive voice mail.

Talafone is also showcasing its SMS2FONE software, which allows companies to communicate en-masse to mobile users. Additionally, all the provider's messaging and VoIP solutions have been bundled within a single package, called 'Hayat'.

Talafone is exhibiting at Gitex alongside sister companies TalaTech Magazine and e-Dzines, which offers web design services to corporates. The vendor, which started as a calling card business in Canada, is also looking to promote its Traveler Card, which allows users to make calls from 40 countries worldwide. G8-1
