Mitel Networks has had a busy Gitex so far, with huge interest in its voice over IP (voIP) solutions. “Every other trade show in the world is seeing fewer exhibitors and fewer visitors, but Gitex is totally the opposite,” comments Graham Bevington, managing director, Mitel Networks.

At the show, Mitel is highlighting the advantages to be gained from its VoIP consoles, which have all the functionality found on traditional consoles instead of the more limited range found on most VoIP vendors’ offerings. “We have 600-plus call control features, while most others have just the 20-30 most popular options,” notes Bevington.

The company is also highlighting the benefits to be gained from integrating voice, data and video networks. For instance, in a retail environment, Mitel can set up a system to record transaction details and video of the purchases in one database.
