The importance of network security is finally beginning to hit home with Middle East businesses according to the APTEC Group, which has just launched Symantec's Gateway Security 5400 network security solution.

"We see the need in any network to protect the point of entry, which is primarily the gateway. It is the gateway that will open the door to unwelcome visitors. Client security is crucial," said Prajit Arakkal, Symantec business unit manager, Aptec Group.

"Over the last few days, we have seen some good enterprise clients who have come to check out the 'touch and feel' of the Gateway Security 5400 series. At our re-sellers presentation, we had over eleven different countries represented, which underlines how solid a solution this is," added Navin Tiko, regional manager, APTEC Africa.
