eiStream is to acquire electronic document management and workflow provider Lexign. The business process solutions provider is telling Gitex visitors the purchase will enable it to offer clients increased expertise in the workflow field.

Lexign designs, markets and supports two software products: Keyfile, a document management and imaging repository, and Flow, a Microsoft Exchange-based workflow automation tool.

“Lexign is an excellent fit in the eiStream strategy to expand our market share through acquisitions within our key markets of financial services, insurance and government,” says John Oldham, eiStream’s vice president.

The company operates in the Middle East through local reseller CEB, which is exhibiting on the same stand at Gitex. EiStream says the relationship has proved fruitful in recent months.

“We are growing organically in the region and have now completed around 12 implementations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Our deal with CEB gives us the best of both worlds. We have the influence of a multinational company while they supply the skills and expertise of the local market,” says Paul Gray, eiStream’s regional sales director.H500
