Intermec Technologies is encouraging visitors to check out its new mobile computing devices. The range, which includes computer keypads, pen tablets and printers, is designed to provide high levels of robustness and user acceptance.

"These devices need to be robust because they are often being used for mission-critical applications and users cannot afford to stop working if the device breaks. As such, we have approached the latest products with a new design philosophy," explains John Klinker, Northern region, general manager, Intermec Technologies.

As a result, the devices offer similar keypad layouts, colour coded buttons, and common user interfaces, as well as lightweight, but sturdy cases and holders.

The vendor also believes this latest range of products will act as a catalyst for further regional growth.

"Business is growing very rapidly in the Middle East, and we are focused on making sure that this market continues to expand," says Colin Summers, regional manager, Intermec Technologies.
