HP and Mitel Networks are demonstrating how data and voice converge over a single IP-based infrastructure. "This is a cost effective and eficient alternative to the traditional PBX environment, where data and voice are kept separate in businesses," says Graham Bevington, managing director, Mitel. "This lowers the total cost of ownership and reduces maintenance."

Ivan Kraemer, sales and marketing director of HP's Procurve & networking business confirms that regional pilot projects are now under way.
