Ah France, a country of fine wines, different delicacies of cheese, French actresses and...IT products! Surely some mistake?

"People don't immediately associate France with technology, and it's a pity because there are a lot of good companies with good products, but this is the reason for the French Pavillion," explains Marie-Frantoise Nolet, chief project manager at UBI - the organisers of the French Pavillion.

The French Pavillion consists of eight companies including UBI. With stalls ranging from media products to telecom products and consumable product supplies such as ink cartridges.

One such exhibitor Fatiha Delli of compatible office supplies company Certtone - a long time contributor to Gitex - agrees the Pavillion plays an important part in the company's Gitex strategy.

"The superb part of being under the French Pavillion banner is everything is taken care of for you. Of course we would like to have our own stand, but the important part is to be here," says Delli. E1-1 to E1-8
