The importance of network security is finally beginning to hit home with Middle East businesses according to the APTEC Group, which has just launched Symantec's Gateway Security 5400 scaleable network security solution.

"We see a need in any network to protect the point of entry, which is primarily the gateway," said Prajit Arakkal, Symantec business unit manager, Aptec Group. "It is the gateway that will open the door to unwelcome visitors. Client security is very crucial."

"Over the last few days, we have seen some good enterprise clients who have come to check out the 'touch and feel' of the Gateway Security 5400 series," added Navin Tiko, regional manager, APTEC Africa. "At our re-sellers presentation, we had over 11 different countries represented, which underlines how solid a solution this is."
