Computer Associates (CA) is encouraging local end users to integrate their IT and business processes in an attempt to draw increased value from both. Furthermore, the vendor believes companies taking this approach by implement tools such as its CleverPath offering will gain a competitive advantage.

"CleverPath manages both IT and business information for users through a common dashboard, which helps them manage their business better," says Gary Quinn, executive vice president of sales & field operations at CA.

"The ability to gather a lot of information and present it back to the user in a personalised manner is very powerful from a management perspective," he adds.

Furthermore, CA believes the Middle East market is beginning to understand this concept and buy into the fact that IT can make businesses more efficient, nimble and effective.
"Local business are starting to think about this and understand that IT is a part of their business and not just a cost centre," says Quinn.
