Gulf Air is offering passengers double frequent flyer points on flights out of Dubai. The offer, which covers a number of destinations including Bahrain, Kuwait and Beirut, runs until the 15th of December.

“Double miles are applicable to all classes of travel and can be accumulated on flights out of Dubai International Airport to Bahrain, Kuwait, Damascus, Beirut, Muscat, Tehran and Shiraz,” explains Michael Johnson, manager, loyalty programmes at Gulf Air.

“This is great news for our customers following the re-launch of the frequent flyer programme last month, which offers new and existing members the chance to win one million flyer miles as well as offering a host of additional benefits and enhanced services,” he adds.

The September makeover of the FFP changed a number of elements in the programme. One of the most significant changes for passengers was increasing the period in they can earn miles from three years to ten. Other changes simplified the process by which miles could be earned and redeemed in exchange for benefits from Gulf Air and its partners.
